In 2011/12, around 80% of new work-related conditions were either musculoskeletal disorders or stress, depression or anxiety, and statistics show 1.1 million working people were suffering from a work-related illness.
My aim and objective is to introduce a Nurturing Massage treatment into the community and the workspace. My intention is to practise Seated/Chair Acupressure Therapy as 'Instant Calma', where and when it is needed, to which ever level of workforce or community area requires attention. As a weekly treatment, allowing people to "switch off" for between 5 - 20 minutes, you will find the benefits to be amazing. You only have to mention the words, "Would you like your shoulders massaging?" and the instant expression of enjoyment is pure proof that what I am able to give, is worthwhile and very much needed, especially within the stressed-out world we presently live in.
More and more people it seems, have stopped communicating, they are barely acknowledging one another on a day-to-day basis and have no physical contact with another person. These are the people I want to reach.
I hope I have inspired you to want to not only change, but to do something about it, now, rather than later.
"Reach out and touch",
